This role is critical to Veev's mission of transforming the construction industry with modern, sustainable, and efficient construction techniques. In this role, you will directly contribute to the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of modern home construction through product management. Your work will have a tangible impact on Veev’s ability to scale operations and drive industry-wide change.

The Role

As a Product Manager within the Product team, you will play a key role in managing the Operations & FAB product initiatives as well as the Product homeowners manual at Veev. You will contribute to the company by evaluating initiatives and helping determine which ones to prioritize and advance. This role offers the opportunity to work with all teams and contribute to Veev’s continued growth.

Responsibilities

1. Product Roadmap

• Responsible: Intake new ideas and initiatives from all departments for the product roadmap, focusing mostly on Operations & FAB improvements.
• Responsible: Quantify and analyze initiatives using strong analytical skills and expertise in mechanical design, CAD, and PLM systems. Incorporate Value to Effort Assessment using ROI analysis to prioritize initiatives.
• Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external companies and consultants to obtain benchmarks and assess alternative solutions.
• Informed: Provide high-level risk analyses, including validation for alignment with Veev’s strategy.

. 2. Requirements Documentation

• Responsible: Write high-quality product requirements for approved initiatives.
• Accountable: Ensure that product requirements comprehensively address both subjective and objective criteria, incorporating stakeholder input.
• Support: Make sure that the requirements capture code requirements by getting support from the XoR's.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Responsible: Work with internal teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales) to align product initiatives with company strategy and objectives.
• Support: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments to drive initiatives forward.
• Informed: Share updates with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Data Management and Analysis

• Responsible: Utilize CAD/PLM systems to gather and analyze data on current products and potential improvements.
• Support: Leverage strong analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product enhancement.
• Accountable: Present actionable insights to management for informed decision-making.

5. Homeowners’ Manual Updates

• Responsible: Maintain and update the homeowners’ manual, ensuring changes in systems are accurately reflected.
• Informed: Communicate updates to relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure consistency.

Must-Have Skills and Competencies

These are critical skills, competencies, and qualifications required for success in this role.

• Technical Skills : Proficiency in mechanical design and familiarity with CAD/PLM systems, such as SolidWorks or Revit, is highly desirable.
• Interpersonal Skills :
  • Proven experience in product management, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and comprehensive product requirements documents.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities, with a talent for analyzing complex data and extracting actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and analyses clearly to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners and consultants to evaluate and benchmark alternative solutions.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a results-oriented mindset.
• Industry Knowledge :
  • Expertise with the building code and with a preference for single-family housing.
  • Expertise in residential design with a preference for single-family housing.
• Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Engineering, Architecture, Product Design, or a related field
• Constantly operates a computer and will be required to visit the project sites to understand better the requirements for initiatives

• Experience with ERP and MES systems

• Experience with Design Automation

Compensation

Offers are based on a combination of experience, skills, and location. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $160K-180K annually for Hayward, CA.
