Environmental Health and Safety Specialist
Growing company is looking for a motivated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join the team.
Duties include:
- Assisting, developing, and executing various trainings related to EHS and facilities
maintenance - Performing risk assessments and recommending corrective actions in response to near misses, incidents, and accidents
- Understanding the primary hazards associated with facility construction and maintenance work and regulatory requirements
- Tracking and measuring metrics related to EHS and facilities maintenance
- Assisting, developing, and implementing new safety procedures
- Conducting job site inspections, facility inspections, and audits throughout the field, machine shops, and yard operations
- Help determine corrective or preventative actions
- Coordinating contractors to maintain critical facility operations such as fire life safety systems, fleet and forklift maintenance, various utility support, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Adding employees into EHS systems
- Loading datasheets
- Updating policies and procedures
Requirements: - Construction or water well background a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Safety a plus
- Excellent administrative skills
- Experience working in EHS Software or related programs a plus
- Comfortable working in a construction environment
