Catering Prep Cook
Prep Cooks are the foundation of our kitchen, setting the team up for a successful Event by preparing and stocking the ingredients needed to support a smooth, efficient operation. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow while contributing to a culture of quality and consistency.
this position is part time and depending on events , prep is done am and course vary but are usually 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in our North Hollywood commissary Kitchen .
Duties & Responsibilities:
If not proficient open to learning the following:
- All aspects of food preparation and presentation.
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
- Assists in control of inventory and supplies.
- Handle and store food products correctly (FIFO).
- Complete tasks assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate all kitchen related needs to Chef or Manager.
- Assist other stations when necessary.
- Complete all cleaning tasks as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to bend or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience preferred but not necessary.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- have a Ca Food Handler Certificate
