Urgent hiring for LVN at Alturas, CA - Night contract $35-$55/hr

Position: LVN Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Location: Alturas, CA 96101

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts (36 hrs/week)

Shift: Night (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)

Schedule: Every other weekend, holiday coverage required, no call

Pay rate: $35 $55/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. The LVN will work closely with physicians, RNs, nursing staff, residents, and families to provide high-quality individualized care. This role is ideal for an LVN who thrives in a supportive team environment and is committed to patient-centered care.

Requirements for LVN / Licensed Vocational Nurse

• Must hold a current California LVN license in good standing.
• Current BLS CPR certification required.
• Strong physical health and ability to lift, bend, and walk as required in patient care.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
• Strong assessment skills and resourcefulness in emergencies.
• Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities of the LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with SNF policies and physician orders.
• Perform patient assessments, document findings, and notify RNs and physicians of abnormal results.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following infection control protocols.
• Support patient mobility, assist with personal care, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-treatment instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist in emergency situations, initiate resuscitation measures, and follow protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient charts, records, and reports.
• Participate in staff education, orientation of new LVNs, and ongoing training sessions.
• Uphold facility standards for professionalism, dress code, and ethical behavior.
