Job Title: Class A Driver (1st shift)

Shift : 7:30am - 4:00pm (Mon-Fri, some weekends may be required)

Compensation: $25.00- $30.00/hour (depending on experience)

Reports to : Warehouse Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Operate company vehicles safely, complying with the company vehicle operation policy and all applicable traffic laws. Comply with DOT regulations. Fully understand how to operate and safely drive assigned vehicles.

· Maintain driving log, track and report working hours and follow schedule break and rest periods.

· Perform vehicle inspections prior to and following each trip and always ensure vehicles are kept clean.

· Drivers are responsible for operating company vehicles for pickup and delivery of company goods and products and performing other runs as needed.

· Inspect product before and after trip. Ensure goods are loaded properly, weight-balanced and organized; and that goods are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.

· Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest documents and ensure all required documents (BOL, packing lists, etc.) are completed accurately.

· Driver may need to load and/or unload the trucks for pickups and deliveries, using a forklift and/or a manual pallet jack.

· Driver will need to perform general warehouse duties when no deliveries are scheduled and when not driving. This may include loading and unloading trucks, supporting the warehouse team, counting/verifying inventory, pulling orders for production and/or general warehouse housekeeping tasks.

· This position will be 60% driving and 40% warehouse work and will only have local delivery routes, no interstate.

Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• 3 + years of Class A driving experience.
• Current CA Class A driver license.
• Good knowledge of health and safety, hygiene rules and regulations.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrates personal initiative to improve processes and procedures.

· 2+ yrs. Warehouse experience.

· Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 hours per shift.

· Sit-down forklift experience/certificate.

· Stand up reach lift experience is a plus.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

· Able to operate an electric lift, hand truck, pallet jack, etc.

• Able to pass nationwide background check.

· Must be able to pass DOT physical exam.

• Pass pre-employment physical/drug screening check.
• Current Medical Certificate as required by Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV).
