Merchandise Coordinator

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Merchandise Coordinator is to support the Sales team by establishing and facilitating a smooth sales cycle process.

Responsibilities:

• Daily communication with the customers and the overseas offices and factories regarding the development of products from pre-production to final production.
• Coordinate with design and sales team on trims/CADS/tech packs and purchase orders.
• Order placement (creating/issuing PO contracts to the factory), tracking production and monitoring delivery status.
• Coordinate production process from the initial steps of placing orders to the final execution.
• Close follow up with the factories for submits and coordinate submits/approval with the customers for all fabric, lab dips, strike off, accessories, trims layout, fit/proto samples, pre-production samples and production samples so as to avoid any delay in the production process.
• Review all submits from the factories prior to sending them to the customer for approval.
• Coordinate lab tests for fabrics, garments, and final goods inspections.
• Preparing T&A (time and action) and WIP (work in progress) reports.
• Following up with production and shipping reports.
• Manage WIP reports on a weekly basis in conjunction with production team, for all goods on order from production status through final delivery into customer's warehouse to ensure timely delivery.
• Update/alert any late deliveries or shortages to the supervisor as well as the customer.
• Attend necessary pre-production and production meetings, also prepare required reports.
• Verifying shipping invoices and invoices for customer.
• Preparing of couriers, tracking couriers, open courier packages.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Education: AA or BS/BA in relevant field.
• 3 years experience in apparel production and/or product development.
• Experienced in handling both woven & knitwear.
• Basic knowledge of technical requirements related to testing of fabric, trims, and garments.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be computer proficient and make spread sheets in Excel.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 per year
