Role Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, trauma-informed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)/ Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. This role is designed for a dedicated clinician who thrives in a holistic, evidence-based environment. You will provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, with a specialized for Substance Use Disorders and those with serious mental illness (SMI). This position offers a supportive path toward licensure, featuring clinical supervision and opportunities for professional growth in behavioral management and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment & Treatment: Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10/DSM-5 criteria. Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Utilize modalities including CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Informed care.
- Crisis & Behavioral Management: Implement immediate crisis intervention strategies for clients experiencing acute episodes. Manage behavioral challenges with empathy and safety-focused protocols.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, educators, and social workers. Engage in case management to ensure continuity of care across home, school, and community settings.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and medical standards. Ensure accurate use of CPT and ICD-10 codes for billing.
- Professional Development: Participate in quality improvement projects and weekly supervision. Stay current on best practices for PTSD, addiction, and developmental disorders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Licensure: Active registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with the state licensing board (or eligibility to register).
- Clinical Expertise: Proven experience in CBT and DBT. Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing is highly preferred.
- Population Experience: Demonstrated success working with children, teens, adults and those with developmental disabilities (ASD/SMI).
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, and HIPAA-compliant documentation practices.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional active listening, motivational interviewing, and crisis management skills.
