Office Manager

LangChain
San Francisco, CA

About UsAt LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale. With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.Today, our platform includes LangSmith (Observability, Evaluation, Deployment, Fleet, and Sandboxes), our open source frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, and Deep Agents), and the newly launched LangSmith Engine for autonomous agent improvement. We have 100M+ monthly open source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and 5 of the Fortune 10 use LangSmith in production (+ 35% of the Fortune 500 overall), including teams at Klarna, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, LinkedIn, Monday.com, Nvidia, and Bridgewater.About the Workplace & Real Estate TeamThe Workplace & Real Estate team builds the places where LangChain builds the future of AI agents. Our job is to make every office somewhere people want to be — spaces that run flawlessly, feel great to walk into, and reflect the craft bar of the company in every detail. We treat the workplace as a product: designed with intent, measured, and continuously improved. We run a small, high-agency team of on-site owners in each hub, and we automate the manual work rather than adding it — across two master-lease hubs (SF, NY) and coworking spokes as the company scales.About the RoleThe Office Manager owns our SF HQ end-to-end — both the on-the-ground experience and the systems that make it run. SF is our largest hub and headquarters, we hold the master lease, we're moving into new space, and we regularly host company and team offsites. You open and reset the space first thing every morning and are the face of the office through the day — and you build the tooling, standards, and vendor programs that keep it running consistently as we scale. This is a hands-on role for a builder who takes pride in a flawless space and in the systems behind it.Location: This role is based on-site in our San Francisco (HQ) office, five days per week. What You'll DoOwn the space & the craft barOpen and reset the space first thing every morning — before people arrive, the office is clean, stocked, and readyKeep the space super organized, neat, tidy, clean, and stocked at all times; it should always be on point and represent the quality of the companyRun a regular walkthrough punch list and stay on top of the details — wires tucked, chairs in, nothing out of placeBe the face of the officePresent through business hours as front-of-house: greet guests, welcome and guide new hires and visitors, and be the person people findPlan and run local in-office events, team moments, and the offsites hosted at HQRun operations, vendors & budgetManage facilities, supplies, snacks, and equipment; own on-site vendor relationships (cleaning, food, maintenance); serve as primary contact for building management and repairsRationalize and manage vendor programs — move us off ad-hoc ordering to contracted, consistent programsOwn budget tracking for the office; help track cost-per-seat and utilization; partner with FinanceBuild the systems & standardsOwn the workplace ticket queue in Console for your office and help build the shared SLA framework and resolution metricsDeploy and own the workplace tech stack — desk booking, room scheduling, visitor management, mailroom/deliveries — partnering with IT on networkingBuild and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and trackers; contribute to shared standards across sitesOwn space planning and moves for your office (starting with the SF move) — communicated early and low-dramaRun life-safety for the site (emergency action plan, evacuation, first aid/AED, drills) as part of the company-wide programUse AI to automate the manual work — tickets, vendor comms, inventory, invoice/billing reconciliationWhat You'll BringHard Skills4–6 years in office/workplace management, facilities, or workplace operations in high-growth techExceptionally organized, documentation-first, and project-management-driven — plans, budgets, and status always visible and currentExperience owning workplace systems (ticketing, desk/room booking, visitor management) and vendor programsDemonstrated AI fluency — you already use tools like Claude to increase your leverage and reach for automation instinctivelySoft SkillsHospitality / concierge mindset — you treat colleagues and guests as customers (hotel or premium-hospitality background a plus)Maximum agency & ownership — you treat the office as your own; you fix things before they're reported and build the systems no one's asked for yetHigh craft — you take pride in a spotless, on-point space and clean systems behind itReliability — committed to a consistent, on-site, 5-day presenceRun to the roar — calm and proactive when something breaksNice to HaveHospitality background (hotels, premium service)Experience supporting office moves or buildoutsExperience with LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, or comparable toolsAnnual salary range: $90,000 - $110,000Compensation Philosophy:We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
