Senior Data Analyst - Excel and Power BI Automation

Job Summary:

Eggs Unlimited is a fast-growing, family-owned company headquartered in Irvine, California. As one of the largest egg companies in the U.S., we bring decades of experience across farming, procurement, logistics, and distribution. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst – Excel & Power BI Automation to help streamline Excel-based workflows, automate data preparation processes, and deliver insightful dashboards that drive business decisions within our Microsoft Azure-based environment. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled with and bring strong expertise in Power Query, Python, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform to support data transformation, cleansing, and visualization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement Power Query workflows to clean, transform, and consolidate Excel datasets.
• Develop Python scripts (using Pandas, OpenPyXL, etc.) to automate complex data cleansing and manipulation tasks.
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Leverage Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to enhance data workflows and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Optimize data pipelines and ensure data integrity across systems and reports.
• Document processes, data flows, and technical specifications for future reference and training.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Power Query in Excel or Power BI for data transformation.
• Proficiency in Python, especially with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and OpenPyXL.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI for data modeling, DAX, and interactive visualizations.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform data quality checks.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC), particularly in extracting and reporting on financial or operational data preferred
• Familiarity with Power BI integration with Dynamics 365 BC, including using OData feeds, web services, or API connections preferred.
• Experience working within a Microsoft Azure tenant, including integration with Azure-based data sources and services preferred.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake for scalable data storage and analytics, SQL or other database querying languages and knowledge of ETL tools or data integration platforms also preferred.
• Background in statistics, data science, or business intelligence is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Must be available to work onsite in Irvine, CA Monday through Friday.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary: $105,000 – $135,000 annually
