Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Transportation Dispatch Supervisor / Specialist to coordinate and monitor daily LTL and FTL truck movements between our distribution hubs and regional facilities. This role is key to ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective transportation of freight while maintaining strong relationships with drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily truck dispatch operations for both LTL and FTL shipments, ensuring on-time pick-ups and deliveries between warehouses and distribution centers.
• Assign loads, schedule drivers, and optimize routes based on volume, deadlines, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse staff to address delays, equipment issues, or last-minute changes.
• Track shipments in real time using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or dispatch software.
• Monitor performance metrics such as on-time percentage, load utilization, and transit times.
• Maintain accurate load records, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
• Assist with cost control by selecting cost-effective carriers and negotiating competitive rates.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Provide basic guidance to junior dispatchers or coordinators as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in truck dispatch or transportation coordination, preferably with both LTL and FTL shipments.
• Bilingual Mandarin and English strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. trucking market practices, freight rates, and carrier options.
• Experience with TMS, routing software, or GPS tracking tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance is a plus.
