Summary of Essential Functions
- Assists physicians with patient care and follow-up in a clinic setting. Duties include, but are not limited to, interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients and assisting physicians with patient exams and/or treatment. Additional responsibilities include charting and clerical work as necessary to oversee phone prescriptions and refills to pharmacies. The LVN also performs triage with patient phone calls to identify emergent and non-emergent situations. Works under the direction of a Team Lead, Coordinator, Practice Manager, and Provider. Provides a variety of direct patient care, technical and clinical functions for the patient, utilizing nursing processes and functions within the URPG policy and procedure.
Licenses and Certifications
- As LVN, must be licensed with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas.
- IV Certified
