Salary Range: $180k - $200K - $235k
GENERAL PURPOSE
PBS Biotech is a private company based in Camarillo, CA that produces the easiest-to-use and most technologically advanced bioreactors for the cell and gene therapy industry. Our single-use bioreactors are fully scalable for any stage of the cell culture process, from R&D to clinical to cGMP production. We provide top-notch technical service for our products in addition to contract process development services to help our customers solve complex cell culture challenges.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and competitive Senior Director of Global Business Development. This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth company that is focused on enabling commercial scale up of cell and gene therapies. This is a newly created position for PBS.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:
- Mentor and motivate the sales team as well as recruit for future growth.
- Create and communicate monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and budgets. Ensure C-level executives know the progress towards budget and forecast.
- Develop and execute strategic rolling 3 year plans to achieve sales budget and expand the company's customer base.
- Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitor changes and industry standards.
- Create and Implement sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as the company grows.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and contract process development services to customers and prospective customers.
- Confer with customers and prospective customers to assess cell culture equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
- Collaborate with application and field service engineering team to understand customer requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/ Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline. Chemical or Bioprocess Engineering preferred. MBA a plus
- Minimum 8 years industry experience with 5 or more in sales and sales management roles
- Experience in cell culture, bioprocess, bioreactors, cell and/or gene therapy all desirable
Skills/ Abilities Pertinent to This Position

- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Sales Force
