Commercial Banking Associate

: Job Summary and Opportunity: This is an on-site role for our San Diego or Los Angeles locations. Hybrid and remote work are not available. The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to jump start your career in the financial industry. Commercial Banking Associate is an entry-level position within the Commercial Banking Associate Program. Our Commercial Deposit Banking division works with specialty deposit verticals and middle market companies with annual sales revenue greater than $10 million. Our goal is to help clients succeed and run their business more effectively by leveraging our tech-forward banking and treasury management solutions, including deposit and liquidity management, online banking, payables, receivables & fraud mitigation services. You will gain exposure to critical aspects within banking to build a robust knowledge base for a career in the industry! The Role: This is an immersive program for candidates interested in gaining exposure to Commercial Deposit Banking. This is a 2-year full-time opportunity with formal 6-month rotations designed to provide a broad overview to the industry in support of business needs across critical functional areas of Commercial Deposit Sales and Treasury Management, Revenue Management, Operations and specific Deposit industry assignments. At the conclusion of the program, associates can become a full-time employee within one of the related business units based on current opportunities, company needs, and desired career path and skill set. Rotations: Candidates will be assigned to rotations in Sales, Operations, Product Management and Revenue Management based on prioritized business needs. The sequence of the rotations will be tailored to the company's needs matched with the associate's strengths, experience, and development progress. Timing and length of rotations will be six months, with exceptions for shorter or longer assignments based on workload and business needs. Professional Development: Training focuses on essential skills for a career in Commercial Deposit Banking and will prepare the associate on how to handle commercial deposit banking products and services that are designed for institutions and corporations. Training will include exposure to Axos Bank leadership. An emphasis will be placed on process and continuous improvements across the organization. Associates will have a direct impact on driving bank efficiencies by working on meaningful projects. Responsibilities:

• Work with Commercial Client On-Boarding team on the preparation of documents, conducting due diligence and preparation of account for approval and on-boarding.
• Draft client account schematics for pitch decks and assist with preparation of other sales-related materials
• Fulfill client service requests pertaining to their deposit relationship.
• Assist with customer training and perform installation of services post onboarding of new Treasury Management Services. Articulate features and benefits to ensure customer understanding and proper use of services.
• Set up new clients, services, accounts, and users on a broad array of treasury management applications, including Online Banking, ACH, Wire, Bill Pay, Remote Deposit, and Positive Pay.
• Perform monthly processes related to Account Analysis billing and revenue capture, ensuring accurate and complete revenue capture and strong controls.
• Update training collateral and guides for Treasury Management product set.
• Serve as project support and project lead on various strategic and operational initiatives and take the lead on process and continuous improvements throughout rotations.
• Self-educate on lending products and services, understanding the full banking relationship between clients and Axos Bank.
• Work with Commercial Deposit Sales to deliver quality customer service to prospects and clients. Learn about the client process from the discovery phase to client training.

Requirements:

• Recent college graduates who have completed, within the previous two years, a bachelor's degree in any major. Extensive work experience is not a requirement, but dedication to learning is vital.
• Authorization to work in the United States with no restrictions; please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position
