Program Director

About the Job:

Center Point’s mission is to provide comprehensive social, educational, vocational, medical, psychological, housing, and rehabilitation services to combat social problems such as substance abuse, poverty, unemployment, and homelessness.

Center Point is seeking compassionate, enthusiastic individuals with a desire to teach to join one of our exciting teams as a Program Director in one of our programs in Alameda County.

About the Position:

The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and successful operation of program services. This role provides strategic direction, ensures quality service delivery, and oversees staff, compliance, and performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall administrative and operational leadership for program services.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate daily program activities to ensure effective service delivery.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to support program goals and compliance requirements.
• Monitor program performance, outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Oversee program budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support program success.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and support audits or reviews as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in program management, supervision, or leadership roles.
• Additional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
• Experience working with diverse populations in health, human services, criminal justice, or related settings preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive program outcomes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting, compliance, and program oversight preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOJ Live Scan background clearance.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license with no serious infractions within the past four (4) years.
• Must be insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy.
• Must have access to reliable personal transportation for work-related duties.
