Staff Software Engineer Emerging Technologies & Automation- 1534

City: Burbank, CA
Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote: Hybrid (3-4 days a week onsite)

Duration : 3 months, potential for long term

Rate Range : Up to$96/hr on W2 depending on experience (no C2C or 1099 or sub-contract)

Work Authorization : GC, USC, All valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B

Must Have:

• 10+ years of full-stack software engineering experience (Python, TypeScript, Node.js, Go or similar)
  
• Strong systems architecture and platform thinking expertise
  
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  
• Microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and A/B testing
  
• Experience with AI/ML development tools, integrating LLM-based APIs, AI agents, or prompt-based workflows
  
• Large-scale database experience (SQL/NoSQL, Object, Graph)
  
• Proven ability to create clear technical documentation and system architecture diagrams (Lucidchart, Mermaid, PlantUML)
  
• Strong communication and leadership skills across cross-functional teams
  

Responsibilities:

• Lead rapid prototyping efforts and build scalable proofs-of-concept to evaluate emerging technologies.
  
• Design thin, end-to-end implementations to validate assumptions and unblock teams.
  
• Embrace rapid iteration to deliver minimum lovable products and evolve through continuous feedback.
  
• Act as a technical leader and mentor, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  
• Partner with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to align priorities and deliver impactful outcomes.
  
• Support project planning, prioritization, and timely delivery of high-quality code.
  
• Continuously refine engineering practices to elevate team performance and product excellence.
  
• Contribute to hackathons, workshops, and demos to inspire innovation and amplify impact.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  
• AWS, GCP, or Azure certification preferred.
  
• Experience in automation and developer productivity initiatives.
  
• Background in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in ambiguous, early-stage, or innovation-driven environments.
