Individual Placement Job Coach

Achievement House Inc. As an Individual Placement Job Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with disabilities as they develop vocational skills, gain meaningful employment, and advocate for themselves in the workplace. Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing, individualized vocational training and support to adults with disabilities, tailored to their unique abilities and goals.
• Monitor and ensure that contract requirements are met, maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Model and promote a positive, professional attitude when interacting with individuals served, employers, and the community.
• Encourage and teach self-advocacy skills, and advocate on behalf of individuals as needed to support their success in the workplace.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding client progress and workplace performance.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and at least one weekend day, to meet the needs of clients and employers.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance (driving is required for this role)
• Ability to pass a LiveScan background check
• Reliable transportation
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for adults with disabilities
• Availability to work until 8:00 PM on some days and at least one weekend day
• Basic computer and technology skills

Compensation

$23.00 per hour plus benefits and perks. Days and schedule varies, up to 28 hours weekly.
