MANAGER: PLANT MAINTENANCE BRANCH
Job Description and Duties
The incumbent will be responsible for budgeting, planning, directing, organizing, and controlling the plant maintenance activities within the field division. Coordinate, plan, schedule and direct the plant maintenance and repair programs for all electrical and mechanical equipment at large pumping plants within the field division. Promotes safe working conditions by ensuring safety meetings and training is being conducted on a regular basis.

Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
Under the provisions of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard CIP-004 as part of the Energy Policy of 2005, this position has authorized cyber access to or unescorted physical access around critical cyber assets and is subject to a satisfactory background check prior to appointment and every seven years thereafter.
Financial Disclosure: This position is covered in the Political Reform Act and requires financial disclosure within 30 days of the first and last day physically worked in a covered position and annually by April 1st.

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
We are seeking candidates with excellent supervisory and leadership skills. Mechanical or Electrical pumping or generating experience. Must have budget and cost control experience. Have knowledge and experience with preventative maintenance planning. Excellent oral and written skills, ability to analyze situations accurately and take effective action, work well under pressure, have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Interact professionally and cooperatively with the public and all levels of staff. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of SAP, or similar programs. Must be able to maintain regular, consistent, predictable attendance and can exercise good judgement..
The field divisions are 100% office-centric, candidate must be willing to work in person, as this position is not eligible for telework.
