We are California’s Best Bet! SUMMARY:
Directs the procurement of materials, components, supplies, equipment, and services at favorable cost consistent with schedule and specifications. Develops sources of supply and supervises and trains buyers, expediters and clerks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Assures maintenance of clean, orderly, secure and safe purchasing warehouse.
- Uses catalogs, the Internet, etc. to find best pricing of goods requisitioned for quantity and quality.
- Facilitates shipping and receipt of goods and when necessary picks up at local vend sites.
- Hires, trains, counsels, terminates, and evaluates staff.
- Maintains computerized inventory control including issuance to department from warehoused inventory.
- Provides monthly status reports to departments and General Manager.
- Adheres to all company and department policies and procedures at all times.
- Screens all vendors prior to confirmation of Gaming Commission.
- Drafts department budget (annual) and works to adhere to approved budget.
- Performs other duties as directed by General Manager.

Education Level – AA degree or higher required.
Experience – Prefer minimum 1 yr. Inventory control experience as agent. Competent use of PC programs and Internet a requirement. Negotiating skills a must.
Special Skills/Certification – Must maintain valid California driver license. LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILTIY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions while providing optimum guest service. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
