Location: Carlsbad, CA

Pay Rate: $24.50/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician for a temporary opportunity in Carlsbad, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience performing a variety of general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and unit turnover. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, safety, and property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Handle service requests, apartment turnover, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of community common areas and grounds.
• Conduct inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
• Ensure proper inventory and organization of tools, supplies, and parts.
• Follow all safety guidelines and complete mandatory safety training.
• Assist with porter functions and other facility-related tasks as needed.
• May be required to work independently or as part of a team, depending on property size.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal); multilingual skills are a plus.
• Must be available for after-hours on-call emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 118 lbs).
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including climbing, crawling, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Successful completion of pulmonary exam and respirator fit test required.
• Consistent, reliable attendance is essential.
