Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to CVICU patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery and critically ill individuals.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, manage IV drips, vasoactive medications, ventilator settings, and bedside therapies.
- Perform ongoing assessments, contribute to care planning, and document in Cerner EMR; participate in rounds and handoffs.
- Respond promptly to alarms and changes in patient condition; escalate to the multidisciplinary team as needed.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, pain management, and family support throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing; California license preferred or eligible to practice in California
- ACLS and BLS certification; NIH required
- Cerner EMR experience required; Epic experience is a plus
- CVICU or critical care nursing experience
- Nursing degree from an accredited program; BSN preferred
- Ability to work the 3x12 night schedule in a high-acuity CVICU environment
