Compensation: $60-72/hr (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of three accounting professionals while overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure GAAP compliance and accuracy.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, process improvements, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee payroll processing, payroll accounting, tax reporting, W-2/1099 filings, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Manage accounts payable operations, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, expense reporting, and vendor onboarding.
- Serve as the primary contact for external audits, coordinate audit support, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, AP, payroll, financial reporting, and external audits.
- Construction, engineering, project-based, or professional services industry experience preferred.
