JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for a Nurse 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational health nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer a work related or non-work-related injury.
• Performs case management for work related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses collaborating with Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Attends to subsequent dressings of injuries.
• Maintains records of persons treated.
• Administers company policy in regard to Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace.
• Coordinating drug/alcohol testing (post incident and for cause)
• Administers required immunizations and vaccinations,
• Assists with OSHA required medical surveillance exams (audiometric, respiratory, vision and urine collection).
• Screens employees for return-to-work clearance collaborating with the leave of absence desk.
• Prepares reports and assists with development of medical procedures and/or protocols.
• Supports Corporate Health & Wellness Programs (blood drives, health fair and flu shots).
• Provides health education information.
• Dispenses standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets.
• Refers contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employee"s physician and may assist company doctor.
• Assist with medical equipment and supplies are maintained, sanitized and ready for use at all times.

Basic Qualifications for Nurse 3:

• High School diploma or equivalent, and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
• Current AED and CPR certifications.
• Registered Nurse with the State Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications for Nurse 3:

• Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Registered nurse with 5 years of nursing experience.
• Certified in audio and spirometer testing.
• Experience with Cal/Osha reporting and assessment standards.
• Occupational Health nursing experience.
