You’ll get to know the family and care for the pet year after year. From delivering reliable care, to preventative visits, to being the first one they call when something just feels wrong.

The Ideal Candidate would be willing and able to uphold high standards of medical excellence, provide mentorship, and foster collaboration within our team environment. Excellent surgery skills are all equally important. This position offers the opportunity for leadership and professional development.

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
• State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state where they intend to be hired, before their start date.
• Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.

About the Hospital

Small Paws Pet Hospitalis a general practice located in San Francisco, CA, focusing on small dogs and cats. We have a well-equipped facility with a devoted and highly skilled staff. We pride ourselves on putting our patients first, providing positive reinforcement, and open and honest communication.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am –5:00 pm, no on-call or evenings

Serving San Francisco, Daly City, and the Bay Area.

Located just a few blocks from Ocean Beach, you can enjoy a walk along the coast pre- or post your shift, and our hospital is easily accessible via the Muni Metro L Line.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual PROSAL full-time range starting at $150/year. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
