Under the general supervision of the Deputy Bureau Licensing and Administration Chief, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) independently performs a range of full journey level assignments related to review of reported potential software defects for the IT systems analysis, software testing, and documentation. Participate with other programmers and technical analysts on IT projects of a complex nature or unusually broad scope.

Working Conditions

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting. Beginning July 1st, 2025, per Executive Order N-22-25, BPPE employees will be required to report into office a minimum of four days a week. Additional in-office days may be required based on operational needs.

The position is headquartered in Sacramento, CA.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFCATIONS REQUIREMENTS

· What the IT-related problem, gap, or risk was and how you identified it.

· What your personal contributions were, such as analysis steps, validation, documentation, or use of IT tools/systems.

· How you communicated the findings and to whom (management, IT teams, program partners).

· What changes, improvements, or outcomes occurred as a result of your work, decisions, or contributions

2. Describe how your work experience and education qualify you for the role and responsibilities of this position based on the desirable qualifications and the duty statement. Please provide specific examples.
