As a Armed Security Officer - Full Time Shipyard Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post in an aerospace and defense setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, visitors, and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and report access concerns involving employees, contractors, deliveries, and/or guests in accordance with site protocols.
• Support incident reporting, maintain accurate activity logs, and follow post orders related to sensitive locations, high-value assets, and/or security-related operations at the site.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
