Summary

We are seeking a Receiving Supervisor to join our team at Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers in San Diego. In this role, duties include shipping & receiving packages, arranging or performing repairs and cleaning, managing supplies, light maintenance, and running errands that require driving. The successful candidate will be proactive in your approach to work, innovative in problem-solving and self-directed, needing little daily supervision. You must possess a current valid CA Driver's License and be able to be bonded. You will oversee the receiving process of inventory, ensuring that all products are accurately logged. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics related to shipping and receiving operations.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Receives, inspects, unloads and documents incoming shipments.
• Wraps, labels, and documents outgoing shipments for USPS, FedEx, UPS.
• Prepares shipping labels through online service.
• Traces lost shipments.
• Orders and manages office supplies.
• Must be able to drive company vehicle.
• Operates a personal computer to access, enter, and/or correct information.
• Call in lunch orders and pick up or receive delivery.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
• Perform light janitorial duties
• Report issues to a manager.
• Travel to other offices to perform regular maintenance and other tasks.
• Supervise and coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations

Requirements

• Proven experience in team management within a warehouse or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and shipping/receiving procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy items as needed.
• Innovative in problem solving and self-directed
• Experience in shipping and receiving
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Directly related work experience is required
• Retail environment experience a plus
• Ability to use Excel to make simple spreadsheets is required
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years driving with no incidents.
• A background check is required

Work hours are 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, Tuesday - Friday and 10:00am - 5:30pm Saturday with some Mondays or Sundays during the peak Christmas season. This is a full-time opportunity but may consider part-time.
