Job Description and Duties

Are you an experienced Human Resources professional who enjoys analyzing complex issues, connecting the dots, and advising leadership? We’re looking for a senior-level Analyst III to support the Chief of Human Resources with high-impact policy, budget, and workforce analysis that shapes department-wide decisions.

In this role, you’ll work closely with executive leadership to review legislation, evaluate budget and classification proposals, and ensure HR programs align with civil service laws, rules, and regulations. You’ll also play a key role in coordinating work across HR programs and helping move executive priorities forward.

Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be typed in 12-point Arial font, single spaced, and be no more than two pages in length. Applicants who fail to answer the question below or submit an SOQ may not be considered.

  • Please describe your experience reviewing or interpreting laws, regulations, or policies and assessing their impact on Human Resources programs. Please include your knowledge or experience with Budget Concept Proposals, drafting executive-level memorandums, correspondence, or briefing materials on sensitive or complex topics.

If you are using list eligibility from an on-line exam to qualify for this position, you MUST include with your application any documentation (i.e., copy of transcript, degree, license, etc.) to verify meeting the MQ’s or you may not be considered for the position.

The MQs will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined that an applicant does not meet the MQs of the classification, the applicant may not be considered and withheld from the eligible list.
