This is a non-telework position located in Castaic.

Water Resources Technician II

Under general supervision of the Water Services Supervisor, the Water Resources Technician II performs a wide variety of difficult and complex nonprofessional engineering and water operation duties associated with the transportation and deliveries of water as well as power generation operations. This is the full journey level for the series involving greater scope of judgment and action, a higher degree of knowledge and abilities, and lead responsibility when appropriate. May perform administrative tasks in SAP such as time reports, program reports, requisitioning, work order notifications and other SAP functions. Provides support to the Planner/Scheduler function.

Water Resources Technician I

Under the supervision of the Water Services Supervisor, this position performs a wide variety of less complex and difficult, nonprofessional engineering and water operation duties associated with the transportation, generation, and delivery of water, as well as power generation operations for the Southern Field Division. Provides support to the Planner/Scheduler function.

This is a Post & Bid vacancy for Bargaining Unit 11 for lateral transfer of DWR employees. Other qualified applicants may be considered after the Post & Bid process is completed.

Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License as travel throughout the State of California is required.
