Locum Physician- Neurosurgery

. This on-site, contract position is designed for a mid-senior level professional eager to make a significant impact in the neurosurgical field. You will play a crucial role in providing top-tier patient care while collaborating with a team of dedicated medical professionals.
In this position, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with complex neurological conditions. Locum Opportunity to work 1 week/month for 1 year
**Position: Physician
Neurosurgery**
The facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center, with a call schedule structured around 24-hour shifts, typically from 7 AM to 7 AM.
During their shifts, neurosurgeons usually arrive at 7 AM to conduct patient rounds and receive status updates from the emergency room.
Their responsibilities encompass both cranial and spinal procedures, though it is important to note that there is no involvement in aneurysm management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of neurosurgical patients
- Perform surgical procedures and provide surgical follow-up care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in neurosurgery and medical practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families
- Participate in case reviews and staff meetings
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Neurosurgery
- Board certification in Neurosurgery preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a neurosurgical setting
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in neurosurgery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
