Growing law firm based in Westwood is seeking a full-time Docket Clerk to join its in-office team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of litigation support and court procedures to contribute to a high-performing and collaborative legal environment. The Docket Clerk will be responsible for managing the firm’s docketing system, tracking litigation deadlines, and ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and procedures across California state and federal courts. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week , on-site position. The firm is looking for someone reliable, thorough, and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the firm’s docket system with critical court dates, filing deadlines, and litigation milestones

  • Monitor court rules and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance

  • Conduct legal deadline research using court websites, rules, and procedural guides

  • Interface with attorneys and staff to provide updates and reminders on approaching deadlines

  • Assist with case calendar management and document tracking

  • Utilize docketing software (LawToolBox or similar) to ensure accurate entries

  • Communicate effectively with court personnel and internal legal teams

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a law firm setting, specifically in litigation support or docketing

  • Solid understanding of California state and federal court rules and procedures

  • Experience using docketing software (LawToolBox or similar tools preferred)

  • Strong research skills and ability to interpret court rules accurately

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
