RF PCB Layout Engineer & Incoming Quality Inspector

Two Career Paths, One Mission: Build and Validate Advanced RF Hardware

Choose between two complementary roles supporting RF and microwave systems for aerospace, defense, and satellite communications.

Role 1: Layout Engineer I – RF (Compensation: $80K – $95K)

A day in this role

Morning: You translate high‑frequency circuit intent into a clean, manufacturable PCB layout for harsh environments. Midday: You review stackups, materials, and impedance controls with manufacturing. Afternoon: You validate that your layout choices protect performance and reliability from prototype through production.

What you’ll do

• Convert high‑frequency designs into robust, production‑ready hardware for cutting‑edge RF/microwave applications.
• Safeguard performance, reliability, and manufacturability for use in extreme operating conditions.

What you bring

• 3+ years of hands‑on RF electronic hardware layout and design experience.
• Applied knowledge of RF layout best practices, manufacturing techniques, and test fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of IPC-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-1580, and relevant ISO/AS requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Role 2: QC Inspector – RF (Compensation: $25 – $30/hr)

A day in this role

Morning: You perform incoming mechanical inspections on piece parts, sub‑assemblies, and assemblies—accepting or rejecting based on drawings/specifications and logging results. Midday: You compare part numbers and details against Procurement Data Packing Slips and Material Certification Compliance. Afternoon: You conduct First Article and dimensional inspections using engineering drawings, precision instruments, and gauges; verify plating with Production by requesting plated parts be test before acceptance; and document discrepant material in SAP for MRB review, collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering and Purchasing on findings and first article results.

What you’ll do

• Execute receiving inspections and document outcomes on forms, records, and an electronic log.
• Match received items to Procurement Data Packing Slips and Material Certification Compliance.
• Perform First Article and dimensional checks per engineering drawings/specs using precision measurement tools.
• Verify plating with Production by requesting plated parts be test before acceptance.
• Maintain discrepant material, issue Rejection Reports, and enter results into SAP for MRB reviews.
• Partner with the Manufacturing Engineer on production issues and communicate discoveries.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to review/discuss First Article results.

What you bring

• 1–2 years of quality control experience.
• IPC-A-610 (PCBA visual inspection), IPC-A-620 training in Quality Inspection.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-883, AS9102, MRB process.
