Director of Business Development - Healthcare

Description:
Develop prospective clients through multiple strategies including targeted healthcare market research, industry events, trade show lists, referrals, professional directories, and strategic outreach
Identify, engage, and close new healthcare clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, industry conferences, and regional healthcare organizations
Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare stakeholders by delivering exceptional client service and leveraging deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and organizational needs
Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets within the healthcare sector
Conduct consistent daily outreach to prospective healthcare clients and decision-makers (e.g., executives, procurement, clinical leadership)
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, overseeing each stage of the sales cycle from lead generation through closing
Develop tailored proposals, pricing models, and project budgets aligned with healthcare client requirements
Understand and articulate the company’s full suite of solutions, positioning offerings effectively within healthcare environments and identifying cross-sell opportunities
Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients by recommending best practices and aligning solutions with regulatory and operational needs
Manage client expectations, contract negotiations, pricing structures, and compliance considerations
Represent the company at healthcare conferences, client meetings, and industry events (domestic and/or international travel required)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
6–10 years of enterprise sales experience, preferably with a focus on healthcare or related industries
Demonstrated success selling into healthcare organizations (providers, payers, or life sciences strongly preferred)
Proven experience managing the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to closing complex deals
Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, compliance requirements, and decision-making structures
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across clinical, operational, and executive teams
Compensation range: $70K-110K
Additional earnings: Eligible to earn commission
