About the role

We’re looking for a Senior or Staff Fullstack Engineer to lead the development of key features powering Gatik’s fleet management software. You'll work across the stack - owning mission-critical systems that support real-time vehicle tracking, operational insights, and logistics automation. This role involves close collaboration with product, design, and data teams to deliver performant APIs, scalable backend services, and intuitive interfaces for internal and customer-facing users

This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office!

What you'll do

• Architect scalable systems, develop, and maintain end-to-end features across React (frontend) and Node.js (backend) stacks.


• Lead technical design and delivery for Gatik’s fleet management platform, supporting real-time vehicle telemetry, asset tracking, and dispatch operations.


• Design, implement and document robust APIs to support multi-tenant SaaS operations, real-time data flows, and customer integrations


• Own the full development lifecycle - design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring - for core platform features.


• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows, including SSO/OIDC/SAML and role-based access control (RBAC).


• Monitor and improve system performance, uptime, and telemetry freshness, ensuring high reliability for critical fleet operations.


• Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to translate complex operational workflows into usable, performant software.


• Continuously evolve the tech stack, CI/CD workflows, and tooling in coordination with infrastructure and DevOps teams.


• Contribute to a culture of code quality, technical rigor, and engineering best practices.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of fullstack engineering experience.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.


• Deep expertise in React, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.


• Proven experience designing and scaling SaaS platforms with an emphasis on real-time data, robust backend APIs, and system reliability.


• Strong frontend skills in responsive UI design, state management, and component architecture.


• Experience with microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and data modeling for operational and high-throughput systems.


• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern observability tools.


• Experience with mapping and geospatial APIs (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox).


• Familiarity with Azure, Postgres, Redis, and RabbitMQ.


• Knowledge of enterprise authentication standards, including SSO, OIDC, and SAML.


• Background in fleet operations, dispatch systems, or logistics planning is a plus.


• Prior experience in startups or high-growth SaaS environments is highly valued.

Salary Range- $150,000- $220,000
