Medical Records Assistant / Accounts Payable

Description

Bayside Care Center, a Compass Health Facility, is looking for a full time Medical Records Assistant with Accounts Payable duties as well.

Responsibilities

In the Medical Records Assistant role, you will be responsible for assisting the Medical Records Manager with the following tasks:

· Organizing and maintaining accurate and secure medical records for the skilled nursing facility.

· Reviewing resident electronic health record (EHR) documentation and provider visit documentation; monitoring of notes and reporting findings to the clinical and interdisciplinary team (IDT); EHR filing/scanning; and setting up and closing resident charts.

· Preparing records for storage retention, record destruction, and ensure the safeguard and protection of patient health information.

· The release of medical records for continuity of care and other authorized purposes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

· Completes EHR scanning, filing, and thinning of resident's soft charts.

· Processing internal and external requests for release of records.

· Protecting and safeguarding health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

· Maintaining effective communication and collaborates with facility staff and other departments to resolve discrepancies or issues.

· Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Accounts Payable

In the Accounts Payable role, you will be responsible for collecting invoices of facility expenses and paying them for Bayside Care Center and Casa De Flores.

Schedule

• 8 hour shifts
