About The Role
Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of Mochi Health? As our first Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining our core mobile applications. You'll help drive technical decisions that ensure our mobile platform is scalable, secure, and reliable, delivering an exceptional experience to our users. What You'll Do
- Contribute to key architectural decisions for our React Native applications
- Build and ship new features at high velocity and quality, ensuring seamless performance and reliability on both iOS and Android.
- Oversee and manage native module development and integrations to support smart devices and advanced features.
- Identify and implement mobile-specific engineering process improvements, coding best practices, and tooling enhancements.
- Guide and mentor engineering peers in the world of mobile development, maintaining high standards for code quality, testing, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with product, design, and the broader engineering team to contribute to core mobile facing product initiatives, from ideation to implementation.
- Produce well-structured, well-documented code with detailed specifications, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
Who You Are
- Educational Background: BS in Computer Science or equivalent.Industry
- Experience: 5+ years of industry experience building large-scale mobile applications, preferably in a startup environment.
- React Native Proficiency: Deep knowledge of React Native, including the lifecycle, state management, and experience using Expo for builds and services.
- Native Development: Experience with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) to create or maintain native modules.
- Autonomy & Ambiguity: Comfortable taking ownership of complex projects and working in fast-changing or unclear situations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, thriving in collaborative team environments.
- Location: Excited to work in-person with our team in San Francisco.

The base salary for this full-time position ranges from $250,000 to $300,000, in addition to equity and benefits.
