Job Description and Duties

This position is eligible to telework up to three (3) days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. This is subject to change based on operational need and/or future return to office orders. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the direction of the Director, the Supervisor II performs the more sensitive, confidential, complex and urgent assignments, with more expertise, and is expected to work with broad discretion and independence, by managing and supervising the support staff, and overseeing the administration of budgeting, procurement, human resources, and business services for the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). Serve as the Lead and work closely with Government Operations Agency (GovOps), and Department of Finance (DOF), and the Department of General Services (DGS) to communicate and resolve emerging or anticipated administrative and fiscal issues.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.

Special Requirements
