As a Community Living Services Instructor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by teaching essential life skills, supporting clients in their daily routines, and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment. This role is ideal for compassionate and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping others and want to work in a collaborative, growth-oriented setting. Flexible, part-time positions are available, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. This position also includes our Social Recreation Program on Saturdays, Sundays, and Evenings.

Compensation

$23.00 per hour to start.

Responsibilities

  • Teach independent living skills to individuals in their homes and within the community.
  • Support clients with daily living activities, including budgeting, using public transportation, and managing appointments.
  • Assist clients in medication routines and attending necessary appointments.
  • Promote the development of social skills and positive community interactions.
  • Encourage healthy leisure activities and effective use of free time.
  • Guide and support clients in developing self-advocacy skills.
  • Enhance clients’ financial management abilities and help safeguard against exploitation.
  • Facilitate the acquisition and improvement of adaptive skills and behaviors.
  • Participate in the Social Wellness Program by planning and engaging in community-based activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid California Driver’s License for at least 2 years.
  • Basic computer and technology skills.
  • Reliable transportation; driving is required.
  • Flexible schedule to meet program needs, including weekends.
  • Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for adults with disabilities.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
