Position Overview

The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to infants, children, and adolescents in a clinical or hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, especially in high-responsibility situations such as night shifts where staffing may be limited.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients (neonates to adolescents)
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and aftercare
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Handle emergency situations with confidence and efficiency
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (California)
• Min years of experience REQ: 2 (Prefer 3 years or greater). Traveler may be 1 of only 2 RNs on per shift at night so experience is critical.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
