We are seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Engineer ready to step into a leadership role overseeing electrical maintenance and power distribution operations within a commercial facility environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong field electrician who is ready to transition into a supervisory, strategy-focused position while still leveraging deep technical expertise.

This role will oversee a team of 6 electrical professionals , driving performance, safety, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

Electrical Systems Leadership

• Supervise and direct electrical maintenance personnel on assigned shifts

• Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and power distribution equipment

• Diagnose issues with panels, transformers, motors, lighting systems, and building infrastructure

• Ensure minimal downtime and efficient completion of service requests

Safety & Compliance

• Lead preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems

• Enforce NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and arc flash safety standards

• Maintain safe, organized, and compliant electrical operations

• Manage inventory of tools, parts, and testing equipment

Training & Team Development

• Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to electrical staff

• Support ongoing development in troubleshooting, electrical safety, and best practices

• Foster professionalism, accountability, and high performance across the team

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial electrical maintenance experience

• Minimum 5 years of electrical supervisory or team leadership experience

• Journeyman-level experience required (no state license required)

• Strong background in commercial electrical systems and power distribution

• Experience with building automation systems, life safety systems, and motor controls

• Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools and basic computer systems

• Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred:

• Associate degree in electrical technology or related field

• Completion of apprenticeship program

• Experience integrating electrical systems with HVAC, fire alarm, security, or emergency power systems
