Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and reporting for our organization on a contract basis. This position is based in San Francisco, California, and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with auditing standards. Responsibilities: - Manage and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. - Oversee the general ledger and ensure all entries are properly recorded and reconciled. - Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with auditing standards. - Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. - Handle journal entries and ensure accuracy across financial records. - Coordinate with auditors during financial statement audits and provide necessary documentation. - Monitor and maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures. - Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes. - Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role. - Strong expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management. - Solid understanding of financial statement audits and compliance standards. - Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies. - Advanced knowledge of journal entries and financial reporting. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
