Overview
Registered Nurse, PACU, Saint Helena, CA — start 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,874–$1,958 per week. Shift: 5x8 days with day/evening coverage and variable start times (0800–1630). This travel temporary assignment occurs in a short-term acute care setting and includes an on-call rotation. Guaranteed hours: 0.0.

Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor postoperative patients in PACU, including airway, breathing, circulation, vital signs, and neurologic status; manage pain control and nausea as ordered.
- Provide airway management and respiratory support as needed during recovery from anesthesia; respond promptly to changing patient status.
- Detect and respond to postoperative complications; initiate emergency protocols and escalate to anesthesia or medical teams as required.
- Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams; communicate patient status, discharge criteria, and handoff information to the next care setting.
- Document all care accurately in the patient record; ensure alignment with policy, safety, and infection control standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized PACU environment and ensure equipment is ready for use; participate in on-call coverage as assigned.

Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years PACU I experience; critical care experience preferred
- Ability to work a 5x8 day/evening schedule with variable start times and on-call rotation
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN)
