Position Overview:
Factory-based role passionate about investigating supplier quality issues impacting production, coordinating containment measures with internal partners, and defining action resolution plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in problem-solving and issue resolution for production needs.
The position directly reports to Siemens Mobility Rolling Stock Quality Manager, Factory Supplier Quality and the selected candidate will be an individual contributor with no direct reports.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.
Lead data gathering and investigation on Supplier Quality issues in production & Test and confirm the issue is related to the supplier.
Provide containment of supplier quality issues to minimize impact on the production line.
Works internally with multi-functional departments including production, engineering, project management, and logistics for the fast resolution of supplier issues.
Define and communicate an action plan and containment to Operations on supplier quality issues.
Host & Coordinate activities during supplier visits.
Work closely with Supplier Quality Managers on supplier parts findings and provide vital information related to quality issues for Supplier Quality Manager to drive corrective action with the Supplier.
Initiate Purge Inspections with the Receiving Inspection team.
Evaluates supplier's systems, products, components, and applications against technical and quality requirements.
To thrive in this role, you have:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electronics or relevant job experience
At least 3 years of experience taking care of sophisticated mechanical or electromechanical systems in Quality-related fields.
Some travel requirement.
Cross-functional work experience in major areas such as product engineering, supply management, project management, manufacturing, or operations
Experienced problem solver as an individual and leading a group, soft skills should include highly credible team player based on related experience and strong written, and verbal communication skills, being patient, action-oriented, and able to utilize resources outside quality area.

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $80,600.00- $95,000.00. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
