Key Job Details – MRI Technologist (Houston, TX 77090)

• Location: Houston, TX 77090 – North Houston, close to shopping, dining, and parks
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Main building, 1st floor MRI unit
• Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist (Locum Tenens)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025)
• On-call: 1–2 days per week; may include weekends
• Unit Details: MRI unit in a 420-bed hospital (3 FT MRI staff, 1 PRN)
• Equipment: 1.5T GE Signa Artist, 3.0T GE Signa Architect MRI scanners
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Hunter Green scrubs preferred
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910–$1960

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Texas Medical Board (TMB) credentials required
• Proficiency with GE MRI platforms
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Preferred: IV skills, experience with iradimed pumps and monitors

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures: head/spine, neuro, musculoskeletal, abdomen, trauma, anesthesia, and pacemaker imaging (no cardiac MRI)
• Operate GE MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Deliver compassionate patient care and maintain a safe, welcoming clinical environment
• Collaborate with radiology and clinical healthcare teams to optimize workflow
• Float within the MRI unit as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend shifts
