Overview

In the newly formed camera platform team, we are building a) distributed low-latency alert and notification systems that will be used by hundreds of thousands Verkada devices all around the world; b) Verkada’s incident management platform that enables AI-driven investigation and evidence management across our ecosystem and c) our Public API that enables programmatic interaction with Verkada devices that includes our enterprise video search system (Helix).

Responsibilities:

• Develop our alert and notification experience, including alert creation and management


• Create state of the art investigation pipeline that prioritizes privacy while protecting people and properties


• Comfortable leading whole projects from design to implementation with high degree of ownership


• Work on cross-product functionality to enhance Verkada ecosystem

Requirements:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study


• 4+ years of professional experience as a frontend/full stack engineer


• Experience building reusable components, utilizing CSS pre-processors and building pixel perfect user interfaces


• Experience with state management tools (Redux, MobX, etc.) and asynchronous programming


• Deep understanding of JavaScript, including contexts, prototypes/classes and closures. Nice to have experience with TypeScript


• Experience working with a modern web framework such as React, Angular.js, or Vue

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate’s skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada’s total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Estimated Annual Pay Range

$130,000—$280,000 USD
