Bilingual Administrative Assistant (Immigration) Location San Diego, CA (Core-Columbia area) :

ICWC San Diego is seeking a Spanish speaking legal receptionist to join our growing team. This administrative assistant position involves reception duties and casework support.

ICWC is a non-profit legal organization providing free and affordable immigration services to underrepresented immigrants in California and Nevada. ICWC strives to provide security and stability for immigrants who are victims of crime and survivors of violence. ICWC primarily works with federal immigration laws that allow marginalized immigrants to apply for work authorization, humanitarian-based relief, and permanent residency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling telephone and walk-in reception duties
• Processing incoming mail, completing data entry, scheduling appointments, and managing/monitoring the client database and calendaring systems
• Copying, filing, mailing, and fee collection
• Translating documents from Spanish to English
• Communicating with clients in person, via telephone, by email/text, and by mail
• Assisting with various operational duties, including ordering office supplies and managing facilities

Requirements:

• Spanish Language Fluency: The position requires the ability to communicate daily through oral and written communications in both Spanish and English. Please clearly specify in your application your ability to communicate in both Spanish and English. If you do not speak Spanish and English fluently, you will not be considered for this position.
• High School Diploma required. Associate / Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in low-income legal services and/or a commitment to civil liberties and immigrants' rights preferred.

Compensation:

Salary is $20-$22, depending on experience. This is a full-time position.
