Engineering Manager (Tech Lead)

About the team, our client's Music team's mission is to build resonance and inspire expression through music, which includes 2 key platforms Music and SoundOn. The team's mission is to inspire music creation by servicing music creators along the lifecycle of music creation, promotion and engagement. We are looking for a Tech Lead Manager based in San Jose to be responsible for leading the Engineering team in the US and globally. Responsibilities: You are responsible for back end business and tech planning, architecture design, cross-team collaboration and engineer management. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with globalized engineering and product teams in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.

• Build and Lead the our client's Engineering team in the US
• Set the product vision and strategy with product and business teams, and oversee the engineering roadmap.
• Effectively scale the engineering team by attracting and mentoring extraordinary people at various experience levels to grow a high performing and diverse team.

- Manage project priorities and product deliveries. Drive technical initiatives from execution toward delivery - Build the productive R&D process.

• Hands-on in the architecture design and building team engineering best practices.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant majors.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in a high scale distributed environment.

• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience, including people management.

• Strong engineering background on one or more large scale backend systems.

• Experience of driving collaboration across cross functional teams on delivering shared goals.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience building Digital Streaming Platform or music product would be a plus

• Fluent in Mandarin is MUST

• Hybrid role based in CA (san jose)
