Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. Marvin Land Systems specializes in the design and build of power and thermal management systems. Our collaboration extends across a diverse array of programs and platforms, including major military prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marvin Group is a world leader in manufacturing for the aerospace and defense world industry, consisting of five different businesses each of which manufactures/designs a unique catalog of military and dual use products. The Trade Compliance Specialist will work within a team and be responsible for supporting the oversight of the import and export compliance function for all Marvin Group facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- International Logistics Compliance – AES/EEI Filing.
- Preparing shipping documents for imports and exports
- Support license preparation and administration (ITAR and EAR)
- Support the Importing Process
- Performing denied party screenings
- Tracking compliance metrics
- Maintaining all documents related to import/export transactions and U.S. Customs clearance including but not limited to:
- Commercial Invoices, Export Packing Lists, AES Filings, Shipper's Letters of Instruction, Certificates of Compliance and/or Conformity, Air and Ocean Bills of Lading, Shipper's Export Declarations, Denied Party Screening verifications
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Due to ITAR regulations must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent years of work experience: 3-5 years of experience with export/import administration and/or Freight Forwarding
- Solid knowledge and understanding of AES, ITAR, EAR, U.S. Customs regulations, and Incoterms 2020
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
- Attentive to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn
- Able to follow instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must read/write/speak English
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Medium-to-large office environment
- Fast paced office environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments
