Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst who is passionate about accuracy, problem‑solving, and operational excellence. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our warehouse and logistics operations running smoothly by ensuring inventory accuracy and system integrity. You’ll conduct physical inventory counts, reconcile materials and transactions in SAP, and dive into inventory discrepancies to uncover root causes and drive meaningful improvements.

By working closely with warehouse, logistics, and planning teams, you’ll combine strong analytical skills with hands‑on warehouse involvement to ensure alignment between physical materials and system records—supporting reliable operations and accurate financial and operational reporting.

What Your Day May Look Like:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records by reconciling physical inventory with SAP system data through daily ABC cycle counts, stock checks, and transaction reviews.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies by analyzing material movements, transfers, and production consumption patterns to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Reconcile purchase order receipts with supplier documentation, ensuring accuracy between invoices, physical materials, and SAP transactions.
  • Partner closely with warehouse operations, MRP, order management, and logistics teams to resolve issues impacting inventory accuracy or material availability.
  • Coordinate and guide daily activities for cycle counting support, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
  • Work hands‑on in the warehouse environment as needed, performing counts and audits while adhering to all safety standards.

What Will Make You Successful in This Role:

  • High school diploma or higher education.
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain logistics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP inventory, receiving, and material movement transactions.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory, consumption, and transaction data to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data and reporting tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Willingness to perform physical inventory activities in a warehouse setting while following safety and compliance requirements.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or Data Analytics.
  • Experience managing or coordinating cycle count programs using ABC inventory methodologies.
  • Background reconciling purchase orders, invoices, and supplier documentation.
  • Familiarity with reporting or analytics tools such as Tableau.
  • Forklift or mobile equipment certification (or ability to obtain).

Why you’ll love working with Siemens:

  • Freedom and healthy work-life balance– Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter Benefits – starting Day 1!
  • We believe that each member of our team is accountable for making decisions, solving problems, and taking actions that contribute to long-term impact and financial success.
  • We do the right thing. We stand for green innovations and meaningful solutions with impact on customers, ecosystem partners, society, and environment.
  • We are frontrunners in digitalization and building platforms. Therefore, we are hiring ambitious forward-thinkers who want to have a real impact.
  • Solve the world's most significant problems – Be part of exciting and innovative projects.
  • Opportunities to contribute your innovative ideas and get paid for them! Take advantage of our Tuition Reimbursement program, Mentor Programs, and your development through online learning. We operate daily with a growth mindset - that's why Siemens consistently ranks on the Fortune World's Most Admired Companies list!
