An international company in the aviation industry is currently looking for an Assistant Manager to lead their Finance/Accounting and Internal Control Team in day-to-day operations.

• $75K - $88K / year; Exempt
• Bilingual language ability in English and Japanese

Requirements of the Finance / Accounting Assistant Manager :

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• Bilingual in English and Japanese
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience managing/leading employees
• Knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• USCPA License is preferred but not required
• Sharp and analytical, with a strong sense for numbers
• Ability to calculate values (discounts, interest, fees, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word/Excel)

Responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Assistant Manager :

• Lead the Finance/Accounting & Internal Control Section and provide support to achieve team members’ goals.
• Effectively respond to inquiries from customers and internal/external contacts in both English and Japanese
• Prepare and manage an annual Finance/Accounting & Internal Control action plan.
• Create Finance/Accounting & Internal Control budget and mid-term business plan.
• Analyze the company's performance and status, accurately report to management, and propose improvements as necessary.
• Manage cash flow and coordinate with financial institutions to procure funds as needed.
• Respond and coordinate with audit firms.
• Prepare tax filings and ensure proper payment
• Promote company-wide business improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments and the parent company to improve business quality.
• Other related duties may also be assigned
