We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is based in our Montebello headquarters in Rockland County, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Review and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile accounts: AP, AR, prepaids, accruals, cash, etc.
• Own month end and ensure completion in an accurate and timely manner.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Work with the Controller and external auditors to complete the audit process.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
• Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements.
• Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant
• 3 -5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Experience working in a Sass business and with NetSuite preferred
• CPA preferred
